Common questions. Clear answers.
A few of the questions we hear most from landowners across Texas. Don’t see yours? Send us a message and we’ll answer it.
How much does land clearing cost in Texas?
Land clearing costs vary widely depending on property size, terrain, the type and density of growth you’re clearing, how much debris needs to be managed, and the level of finish work required (grading, seeding, driveways, etc.). A few acres of light brush hogging is a very different project than full clearing of a wooded tract with stump removal and site grading.
Rather than giving a rough per-acre price that won’t match your actual project, we do free walkthroughs and provide a clear, itemized quote based on what your land actually needs. That way you get real numbers — not a guess.

How long does a land clearing project take?
Project timelines depend on scope. A single-service job like brush hogging a few acres or a maintenance mow can often be completed in a day. Larger reclamation work, forestry mulching on dense acreage, or full development projects (clearing, grading, drainage, driveways) typically run several days to a few weeks, sometimes phased across seasons.
Weather, access, and site conditions all play a role. When we walk your property, we’ll give you a realistic timeline based on what the work actually looks like — and we’ll keep you updated as we go.

Do you offer free quotes and property walkthroughs?
Yes. Every project starts with a free property walkthrough. We come out to your land, walk it with you, listen to your goals, and take a real look at what you’re working with. Then we put together an honest, itemized quote with a clear recommendation on the smartest next step.
No pressure, no surprise fees for the visit. It’s how we make sure we’re the right fit for your project — and how you get real numbers instead of guesses.

What services does Land Value Group offer?
We handle the full spectrum of land clearing and improvement work across four service levels:
Maintenance: Tractor mowing and pasture management to keep land usable year after year.
Reclamation: Brush hogging, fence line clearing, and invasive growth removal — taking land from overgrown to usable.
Transformation: Forestry mulching, trail cutting, and right-of-way work to unlock new ways to use your property.
Full Development: Land clearing, grading, gravel driveways, culverts, and reseeding — turning raw land into a productive asset.
See our full services page for details on each level and what’s included.
What happens during the property walkthrough?
The walkthrough is where most of the good planning happens. We meet you at your property, walk the land together, and talk through what you’re trying to accomplish — whether that’s clearing for a build, reclaiming overgrown pasture, cutting trails, or a multi-phase transformation.
We’ll look at access, terrain, growth, drainage, and any challenges that could affect the work. Then we talk through options and what we’d recommend. You don’t have to have everything figured out — that’s what the walkthrough is for.
After the walkthrough, you get an itemized quote with a clear recommendation, and you decide what happens next. No pressure.
Do I need to be there during the work?
Not at all. Once we’ve walked the property together and you’ve approved the scope, most of our clients don’t need to be on-site for the actual work. We’ll send updates as the project progresses and walk the finished property with you when it’s done.
If you do want to be there — especially on bigger or multi-phase projects — that’s always welcome. It’s your land. You set the pace.
Who do you typically work with?
We work with three main types of clients: investors and builders who need buildable ground ready on schedule, landowners with vision who want a real plan for their property, and ranchers and operators who need their working land managed and maintained.
That said, we work with all kinds of Texas landowners — and most projects don’t fit neatly in a single bucket. See more about who we work with and the kinds of goals and challenges we help with.
